Get lost in a whirlwind of emotions, laughter and magical awe-inspiring theatrical performances.

I recall my first ever West End show, CATS. Composed by the renowned Andrew Llyod Webber.  I was thoroughly entertained and simultaneously terrified. Witnessing uncanny human-sized felines prancing around on stage was surreally frightening. Either way, the vibe, cosmic stage and West End world are something I had never experienced before and something I will never forget.

Christmas is coming up and there’s nothing better than receiving tickets to see a show, or treating someone you love ♥ Compiled below are the #CreatedByKeeo list of current, MUST SEE West End shows.

1 | The Lion King

The ciiiiiiiircle of liiiiiiiiiiiiife! SOLD. Is it possible to NOT enjoy the Lion King? I’ve probably watched the movie 500 times and counting. It’s a timeless classic and one for the kids as well as grown-ups to indulge in. Being one of the most successful musicals of all time with a diverse stage presence of African masks, Japanese Kabuki costumes, Malaysian shadow puppetry – all mashed together to create an explosion of spectacle. This is a MUST SEE.

2 | Aladdin

Shining shiiiiiimmmmerrrrring spleeeeendid. These 3 words from the Disney hit ‘A whole new world’basically sums up this eye captivating show. The story of a princess and a peasant that find love in the city of Agrabah is my ultimate childhood favourite. The show exudes a wondrous colour palette, electrifying dancing, all wrapped together in a fabulous singing extravaganza by our beloved Jasmine, dishy Aladdin and a flamboyant genie.

3 | Matilda
It’s not trash daddy, it’s lovely, it’s Moby Dick by Herman Melville”. A quote myself and my friends (who are going on 30) still try to mimic to this day. Matilda is an extraordinary book/film and according to the number of Olivier Awards, it has obtained it’s an astounding west end triumph too. Adopted from the man himself, Roald Dahl a renowned children’s novelist, this best-selling book has been evolved into a stage show filled with laughs and life lessons.

4 | The Book Of Mormon
This facetiously brilliant musical satire that stormed the stages of Broadway has inevitably graced The West End. Brought to you by the witty creators of South Park, it’s the story of two Mormon missionaries sent to Uganda to spread the word of the sacred text. Threatened by warlords, AIDS, poverty and famine, the pair must battle their own ideology in order to succeed and make a change. One of the most controversial musicals of all time, full of offensive humour and knee-slapping laughs, this is PG-17 comedic musical heaven.

5 | Mamma Mia
This ultimate feel-good musical will have you roaring with song and dance. Set on a Greek island paradise the musical follows a 20-year-old girl who is about to tie the knot, but she is missing someone to walk her down the aisle. On a mission to find her father without her mother’s knowledge, she invites 3 men to the wedding she’d dug up from her mother’s past using her diary. In a sudden twist, this story of love and friendship is cleverly told through the timeless classics of ABBA. A Super Trouper show!
